About Aga Khan Museum

Founded in 2014, the Aga Khan Museum connects visitors to relevant cultural and artistic practices through its exhibitions and public programs, including performances and robust learning activities. Located along the Don River in northern Toronto, it is connected to an intricate network of waterways – some buried, some still flowing on the surface – that have characterized this region for thousands of years, bringing people together for trade, co-habitation, and community. The Aga Khan Museum is deeply embedded in Toronto’s contemporary Muslim life while inclusively opening its space to a much broader visitor-base through expansive programming and partnerships. They are also a contributing publisher of this catalogue, recognizing the impact of exhibition publications on scholarship and access by extending TBA’s 2026 edition beyond the city to a global audience.
