The Curatorial Encounters program series invites all members of the arts community and the general public to meet and converse with our 2024 exhibition curators, Dominique Fontaine and Miguel A. López.
As Dominique and Miguel continue building the 2024 Biennial in close conversation with participating artists and partners, they will share exciting updates on their curatorial process to date. The conversation will then open up to include our first announced participating artist Pamila Matharu and collaborator Emelie Chhangur, who will discuss Pamila’s multidimensional TBA project. Her ongoing counter-archival study of visual culture in Toronto over time, from the 1992 Yonge Street Uprising to the subsequent rise of Fresh Arts and its legacies, informs Dominique and Miguel’s curatorial research and this generative exchange.
Join us for this second of four informal Encounters as we learn more about TBA 2024 and connect with each other through conversation.
This Curatorial Encounter is presented in partnership with Gallery TPW.
