Golboo Amani

Golboo Amani (born in Iran; lives in Toronto, ON, Canada) is a multidisciplinary artist, who utilizes familiar social engagements as ready-made sites for aesthetical intervention and critical discourse. Amani’s work often addresses formal sites of pedagogy and conditions that render epistemic violence as invisible, insignificant and benign. By expanding sites of pedagogy to include streets, backyards, homes and public transit, Amani aims to produce non-hierarchical learning experiences that speak to collective agency and egalitarian epistemology.
