Theresa Slater (she/they) is a neuroqueer artist, project manager, and writer based in Tkaranto. She holds an MA degree in Contemporary Art, Design, and New Media Art Histories from OCAD U and a BA degree in Philosophy and Applied Ethics from UVIC. As a visual artist and non-fiction writer, Theresa is dedicated to exploring innovative ways to facilitate creative expression and strategic thinking. She has experience in managing non-profit organizations, leading complex projects, and teaching contemporary arts education. They are a strong advocate for artist-run culture and are committed to supporting marginalized artists in accessing funding opportunities. Her current interests encompass psychedelic and experimental aesthetics, art history and criticism, popular science, Christian decolonization, and becoming a death doula.
