After 8+ years of extraordinary service as Chair, Co-Chair and Director, Paul Bain has been appointed the honorific position of Chair Emeritus. TBA’s Board of Directors, Executive Director Patrizia Libralato, and staff recognize Paul’s dedicated years of leadership and extend our heartfelt thanks to him.  As Chair Emeritus, Paul will remain available to contribute to the continuing growth of the organization and provide advice on policy, as well as strategic issues related to TBA.

Paul Bain is a lawyer, practicing in entertainment, media and intellectual property law and an advocate/advisor for the arts and artists. He is a partner of Dickinson Wright LLP, with offices in Chicago, Silicon Valley, Washington, Nashville, Las Vegas, Austin and Detroit (among others). He is the author of numerous articles on art and IP, and the author of Art Law: Cases and Controversies (2022, Lexis Nexis pub).

Paul has served on numerous arts boards as a Director, including the The Power Plant, Contact Photography Festival, Art Metropole and C Magazine Foundation. He is an avid collector of contemporary art and photography, and has supported numerous important museum exhibitions in Canada and abroad.
