The 2024 Biennial welcomed students from the primary school level through post-secondary over a period of 10 weeks, from September 21 to December 1. Storytellers, in collaboration with R.I.S.E. Edutainment, shared exhibition works and hands-on workshops with school visitors, collaboratively creating collages, posters, songs, and poems and participating in special workshops in spoken word and sound. Impactful and meaningful, these sessions will inform TBA’s school programs going forward.
After wrapping the Biennial’s 3rd edition, TBA is offering various forms of school engagement year round as preparations for 2026 are underway. This includes:
- Educator outreach sessions, inviting and gathering GTA educators to voice their view on best practices and learning through the Arts and beyond
- In-school programs with TBA Storytellers, who act as educators and mediators of our Mobile Arts Curriculum learning tools
- Professional Development for educators, on TBA’s artist-led, curriculum-supportive Mobile Arts Curriculum learning tools.
TBA is also an official TDSB Program vendor, offering excursions and in-school programming. If you are interested in working with TBA year round, we invite facilitators, principals, and teachers to connect at learning@torontobiennial.org to learn more.
