Astrid Ho

2024 Program Artist

Astrid Ho is a Hong Kong-born, Toronto-based artist, who received an Associate of the Ontario College of Art and Design with Honours (1997), and a BFA from OCAD University (2010). Astrid attended a printmaking residency at the Vermont Studio Center (2005), was the Open Studio Print Sales and Archive Manager from 2003-18, is an artist member of Open Studio and a Full Member of Directors Guild of Canada-Ontario. She has been an arts instructor at Centre3, Havergal College, McMichael Collection, Latcham Gallery and Open Studio. She is also an Established Artist at VibeArts. Astrid received the Ontario Arts Council Access and Career Development Grant (2009), creating the print project, Versions. Her exhibition history include Harbourfront Centre (ON), Gladstone Hotel (ON), Print London (ON), Olive Branch Press (NY), Sir Wilfred Grenfell College Art Gallery (NL), and Open Studio (ON). Her works are in various art collections including Bank of Montreal, The Canada Council Art Bank, Global Affairs Canada, and National Bank of Canada. In 2014 – 15 Astrid was selected as one of six mentees in the Ontario Association of Art Galleries Leadership and Cultural Pluralism Project and was mentored at Harbourfront Centre. She represented Speedball Art Products/Akua Inks as a certified Akua Demo Artist for Ontario, Canada. She was the board chair at Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario (CPAMO) in 2018-2020 and board member 2016-2021.
