Anastacia Marx de Salcedo (born in New York City, NY, USA; lives in Boston, MA, USA) is interested in the things hiding in plain sight. Her book Combat-Ready Kitchen: How the U.S. Military Shapes the Way You Eat (2015) that documents how army research on rations finds its way into consumer foods received considerable US and international press and is translated into Spanish and Japanese. Marx de Salcedo has worked as a public health consultant, newsmagazine publisher, and public policy researcher. She was educated at Columbia University, New York City.
