Nicola Spunt leads all aspects related to the Biennial’s editorial and creative content for both print and digital. As the former Director of Content & Culture for PARTISANS, she helped grow the emerging architecture and design firm, overseeing brand, communications, publications, visioning projects, exhibition production, and cultural partnerships. After completing a PhD in English, Nicola produced film and TV, and founded two conversation series—After School and Table Talks—that focused on arts, culture, and city building. She has edited and authored various publications on literature, design, and urbanism, including Toronto’s bid book for Amazon HQ2 and Rise and Sprawl: The Condominiumization of Toronto. As a programming consultant and creative producer for clients such as Soho House, New Auction, and Sidewalk Labs, Nicola combines her passion for storytelling and cultural vitalization to help realize initiatives that foster creativity, community, and conversation. She currently serves as President of the Board at Mercer Union, A Centre for Contemporary Art.
