Nedda Baba joined the Biennial team in 2021 as the Programs Coordinator in Public Programming and Learning. Based in Toronto, she also practices independently and within collectives as an artist and programmer. Her work is reflective of how personal narratives arise in and move through institutionalized structures and postcolonial geographies. Nedda centers the experiences of underrepresented artists in her programming work, co-creating alternative viewing conditions and virtual spaces for these practices as a member of her collective, Dead Projects. She has worked directly with artists on project production at Toronto Image Works, Gallery 44, and independently as well. Nedda is also a dilettante in guitar, DJing, semitic linguistics, drag performance, and birth charts.
